The History of the NORMAN PRATT MEMORIAL SHIELD

The Norman Pratt Memorial Shield is acknowledged as one of the most sought after prizes in the Vintage & Veteran calendar of events.

Presented every year for the past 28 years, the shield is seen as part of the criteria for entry to the Gordon Bennett Rally.

Made of solid silver, to the shape of the 14th Century Yellow Steeple in Trim, it is placed upon a solid mahogany background. The shield was designed by Mr. Norman Pratt himself, the founder member of the Trim Vintage & Vertan Car Rally.

Mr. Pratt commissioned Jevins Jewellers of Dublin to make this most sought after shield.

Our founder member and long time Chairperson Mr. Norman Pratt can be seen pictured on the right along with one of his favourite vintage cars and the Yellow Steeple of Trim which overlooks the site of the annual Vintage & Veteran Car Rally.
